Summer has arrived at least according to the calendar although I am not complaining about the weather too much as it has been cloudy but relatively dry this spring so not much to complain about at all. Saturday was a great combination of sun and cloud and the perfect temperature for a bike ride. My partner and I finally picked up our bikes at the old apartment building we use to call home and rode them all the way to our new place only 16 months after moving. The 21 kilometre ride was not bad at all as the route we chose had minimal elevation gain at only 169 metres so the ride was fairly easy and the only discomfort we experienced was from sitting on those wretched bike seats for two hours.
So our bikes are now safely stored on our balcony covered and protected from the weather waiting to be taken out again and hopefully not in another 16 months time though.
Since I am waiting on good weather to complete the roof and wall repairs to the RV Edith decided to go ahead and do some other work. So last week I helped her remove the cabinet doors over the dinette, give them a quick sanding and cleaning before she painted the edges and applied a wallpaper border that we thought would add some personality and life to the RV and although we are satisfied with the look we do see a change we will make to improve the look even more. We will make these changes as well as finish redecorating the dinette area before we upload photos to show the work we have undertaken. We will of course give you both before and after photos so you can critique our work and give us some feedback.
