Interior Redecorating and Cleaning

As David mentioned in his blog entry the other day we removed, painted, and applied a wallpaper border to the two cabinet doors above the dinette table and although we like the look we want to change it a little.

As a hint the interior of the RV will have an outdoorsy and country feel to it at least in the galley and dinette areas. The lounge and bed-over-cab areas will likely have completely different looks. Yesterday, I picked up a couple of thermal curtains for the RV and will likely purchase another three to five panels so we can cover all the windows with these curtains and provide and extra degree of temperature control to the RV as they will keep the heat or cold out as well as keep the heat or cold in depending on the season and what we are running whether it be the furnace or air conditioner.

I am not sure if we will keep a uniform color of draperies throughout the RV or go with something a bit different in the lounge area but we should make a decision rather quickly so as to avoid not being able to get the same color of drapery if that is the route we are going to take.

We are also trying to clean the RV inside and out and and as part of the process we have used our cabinet space to store things David and Eugene have accumulated to effect repairs to the leaky area of the RV. I am trying to wipe the dust off and collect all of the accumulated garbage but will need to do a more thorough job of cleaning as the dust is seeming a part of the sinks, walls, floors, and cabinets and a simple dusting is not removing too much of the four years worth of dust that has settled onto everything.

But we are getting things done and that is our main focus these days as we are all anxious to get out on the road and start that part of our adventure together so thanks for stopping by and reading our blog, its great to have you visit for a while. . .
