. . .my visits to my home on wheels will be postponed for awhile. As I may have mentioned before I make handcrafted cards and for the most part it has just been a hobby with the odd sale here and there to family or friends. However, that changed on Friday as we had some friends over for dinner on Friday evening and during the course of the evening I received five orders of cards. So since Friday evening after the dinner I've been working on fulfilling that order of 100 handcrafted greeting cards.
I love making cards so this is very much an enjoyable experience for me but it neccesitates the need for me to postpone work on my home on wheels for a couple of weeks. But the delay is well worth it as it not only provides me with additional income but also inspires me to push ahead with making my RV my home and mobile crafting studio. Soon, my little card making enterprise will be known no longer as just Odds n Ends Scraps and Crafts but as Odds n Ends Scraps and Crafts on Wheels.
Oh, here is a photo of Edith in the midst of thought during our last visit to our RV, Esmeralda:
It's back to making cards for me but as always thanks for stopping by and Happy Camping!

RVing Always on my Mind
Yesterday I saw a guy walking on the sidewalk by the office and my mind was suddenly filled with an image of me somewhere down in the states enjoying the awesome view and scenery just outside our RV. I saw myself walking a short distance away from the RV to take in a spectacular vista that lay before me and what an awesome sight is filling my eyes.
Again as I pass the time each day my mind wanders to when I will be able to hop aboard our RV and start seeing the sights that fill my mind as I read blogs and view the photos often posted along with each day's entry. Oh, how I long to be on the road these days.
Our RV, Lucille/Esmeralda is sitting there patiently waiting to be loved and used. As important as it is for me to repair and stop any leaks going into the interior of the RV my focus and worry is more about the mechanical aspects of the RV as that area is what really matters. Without a good mechanically functioning engine our little RV will not be going anywhere.
I am about ready to take the leap and things are pointing in that direction all ready. The car is paid for and my debts are quite small all things considered so I patiently work toward the day of departure. I fill my time with going over my options and ways I plan to pay for my travels and all looks good in that department. I am ready and patient. My goals and dreams are at hand and about to be fulfilled.

Reality of Our RVing Adventure Setting In
These past couple of weeks have been a sinking in of the reality that yes indeed I/we will be embarking upon an RVing adventure later this year. This has set in firstly with the realization that I cannot continue living the life I am living and remain happy and secondly that my needs to be out on the road outweigh my desire to remain stationary in life and find contentment doing it. I do enjoy living in Vancouver or the lower mainland in general but I so very much need to spread my wings and explore the world beyond this comfort zone I find myself in. I need to go out and experience life on my own and on my own terms.
The RV, our RV, Ms Lucille/Esmeralda is waiting patiently for us and during the next two weeks as my partner and I enjoy visiting and exploring Boston and New York I will set some time aside to plan and organize how I will go about putting the repairs to the RV at the top of my priority list so I can at least feel safe, secure, and confident to take her out on short drives just to keep her moving and prepare her for the long journey ahead.
I am sure I have mentioned it before but the list of work to do on the RV is as follows:
Repair Leaks
Mechanical Inspection and Repairs as needed
Solar Panels and battery bank
Paint and renovate interior
Holding Tank Heaters
More details to follow.
Thanks for stopping by and until next time happy days to you all.

Post Holiday Greetings
I hope everyone out there in blogger land had a great time during the holidays. My partner and I hosted his family quite successfully and they all departed with happy thoughts the last of them leaving Tuesday evening, January 5, 2010.
2010 promises to be a good year for me as the goals I set out on more than one occasion are coming to fruition this year.
The RV, Ms Lucille/Esmeralda is patiently waiting for me to get her repaired and moving on down the highway. This is absolutely going to happen as much as I enjoyed the holidays my thoughts often turned to my RV and RVing in general so I am taking this as a sign that RVing is the theme of 2010 for me.
So let us all celebrate and live in the moment knowing that each of our futures has more hope that we can only imagine in this a beautiful moment to be alive.
