Saturday we made plans to visit Fort Langley again. We were in Fort Langley about a month ago and vowed to return to bike the Fort to Fort Trail. The bike ride along this trail was a perfect way to spend such a wonderful summer day. The Trail is a relatively easy trail to ride and their are benches along the trail to allow for rests and enjoyment of the serenity and views that this Trail has to offer. We ended our riding at the picnic and camping area of Derby Regional Park once the home of the Edge Farm.
On Sunday we hiked up the Stawamus Chief, a hike similar to the Grouse Grind I suppose but one that we find much more rewarding and enjoyable once you get to the top and are struck by the breathtaking views of Howe Sound and the city of Squamish. Look to the Spit and spot the kite surfers. This hike is a challenge, rated intermediate but young and old alike can be found on the trail and up top so it can be done, people even bring their dogs and many families can found on trail as well with babies strapped to front or back of mommy and daddy. So take up the challenge of the chief and enjoy the views.
Happy Camping!
