The other day while visiting the RV and watching Edith clean and organize I decided t start the RV as I hadn't done so since May. No luck. Nothing happened. So I thought, I would recharge the battery.
So off to Canadian Tire I went to get a battery charger. I had purchased a new starting battery about four years ago and it went dead from lack of use and then I picked up another one, I think back in 2010. So I bring the two batteries to the office and try to charge them. The oldest battery was not recognized by the "intelligent" charger but the one that had a bit of juice appeared to be charging. Great I thought. Ten minutes later, the charger went into error mode. Drat!
Then I read some reviews about this so called "intelligent" charger and decided to pick up a plain jane charger as people had good luck charging completely dead batteries. Give it a try I thought.
Again nothing happened with the oldest battery and the newer one was charging. Cool! Not so fast, the charger went into "overload" mode. Darn!
So now I have two dead batteries and two battery chargers and no working battery for my rig. Back to the store I go to return the chargers or at least of them and to get a new starting battery for Miss Esmerelda Tokalot. She needs to get going again as she wants to have a bath.
Always exciting in the world of RVs and RVing.
Thanks again for dropping by.
