David was some upset on Monday evening after learning our RV had been broken into the night before. He noticed a missed call on his phone and as soon as he saw who the missed call was from he knew what he would hear when he listened to the voicemail message. Sure enough he was right. He returned the missed call from the storage lot and confirmed the message and got a few more facts: 23 RVs in total broken into and had all of their contents rifled through. The only items missing and sought after by the thief or thieves are drugs of any kind and women’s clothing.
After his dentist appointment yesterday afternoon David and I made our way over to the storage lot to investigate the damage and chat with the onsite lot attendant.
Thankfully, the damage to the door and frame were minimal and quickly repaired. We cleaned up the mess left behind from the thieves as they rifled through all of the drawers and cupboards. Papers were strewn everywhere and boxes ripped open and their contents dumped on the floor, table, and dinette seats. What a mess!
Another visit tomorrow to do more clean-up and organization and if time allows more demolition of the old sofa frame so we can get on with building the new bed frame. We’ll see how it goes and hopefully we remember to bring the camera with us so we can capture a few pictures of the mess we’ve made with our demolition and repair work.
Thanks for visiting and taking time to read our humble, plain, and somewhat bland and boring blog.
Eugene
