Monument Valley, Sedona, Arizona, and Devil's Tower

I see that both Edith and Eugene posted in the blog yesterday.  Great to have their contributions and enjoyable to read about what is on their minds these days.

This morning as I was sitting on the sofa enjoying my first cup of coffee the cool breeze created by the open windows brought images of me sitting in my RV to my mind.  I was sitting at the dinette with my feet up one arm resting on the table, the other on the backrest of the dinette bench.  The door was open with the screen latched and the window by the dinette was open as well and that same cool breeze was blowing through the RV gently caressing the interior of the RV with its cool freshness.

Monument Valley

The more photos I see of this valley the more drawn to it I become.  I can never remember a time where I have felt so drawn to a place such as I am feeling now.

I was just visiting the blog "Life on the Open Road" written by Randy and Diana and in this particular entry they write about their time in Monument Valley.  Viewing the photos made to just want to get into the RV and drive down there right away.  This place speaks to me for some reason I cannot explain and all I know is that I have to go there soon.  Wow!  What a gorgeous landscape!

I think that during my first visit to the US will definitely take me here first, no dallying about just a straight drive to Monument Valley as quickly and safely as I can get there.

Sedona, Arizona

Since my planned visit to Monument Valley will bring me to Arizona my next destination should be Sedona.  This is a place reputed to have a high concentration of energy vortexes and I want to experience these for myself.  I have always been drawn to the supernatural so I cannot help but visit Sedona to see what all this is about.  And again, the landscape is just unbelievably breathtaking.  I cannot wait to see it all in person.

I guess it only makes sense for me to see the vast Grand Canyon and take it in as everyone who visits this place states that it is a must see and can only be appreciated in person so the Grand Canyon is also on the itinerary of US travel.

I expect that I will be spending a lot of time in the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah as these three states seem to have an awful lot of dessert landscape for me to take in.  California is also a place I need to visit so I will be a busy traveler in the US.

I must also make a point of seeing the Devil's Tower as it has held a special place in my heart ever since I saw it in the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind.  So Wyoming is also a state I must make a point of visiting and I guess it would make sense to visit Wyoming on my way down to Arizona so I just might visit the Devil's Tower before rushing down to Arizona and the Monument Valley.

O, how great is the call of the open road. . .
