So here we have a weird weather day in Metro Vancouver and still a beautiful day it is. The sun is shining and if I did not know it was April I would think this was a cold and crisp December day. The high is expected to be around 8 Celsius but I think with the windchill I would hazard a guess that it is hovering around the zero degree mark. Edith, Eugene and I are all hard at work planning for our RVing adventure set to begin some time this year.
Edith is busy planning what we need to bring and how much of the stuff on that list we have and how much of it we need to buy. Toiletries, kitchen needs, and bedroom necessities are things we need to get that are suitable to an RV and some of that stuff we might have tucked away here and there so we need to do a round up of what we have kicking around before we embark on a shopping spree.
Eugene has taken it upon himself to thoroughly investigate what needs to be done to the roof so we are more than prepared to take that project on. But I will let him tell that story.
I am trying to firm up our plans as to exactly where it is that we are headed. After loading up the RV I have no idea where we will be going. I/We like George and Brian do not want to be staying at any campgrounds or resorts. If we do it will have to be for a mighty good reason. I/We want to explore the unexplored and camp in areas where we feel like we are the only ones left in the world. If we get off early enough in the year we could explore parts of Canada that is if the weather is not too bad otherwise I have no idea where to go on our journey. I know we need to think about a warmer climate as winter draws near but even with that in mind no clear destination jumps out at me.
I guess we will just circle around Vancouver for awhile so as I can get my feet wet so-to-speak. Now thinking about this I do believe that Hope will be our first destination. Take a look at what Hope has to offer: www.hopebc.ca
I'll keep you posted. . .
