I was being too optimistic about the weather drying out. We had showers on and off all day yesterday and today is much the same. I did, however, take a side trip to visit the RV when I headed to Richmond to pick up supplies for a customer at my prison work I find myself doing these days. It's a job and has nothing to do with prisons or prisoners but it feels like I am in prison when I cannot yet fully pursue my dream and passion of RVing full time.
The RV, my little Miss Lucille/Esmeralda looks pretty good though although the rainy weather has taken it's toll again and she is getting a little bit green here and there but nothing a good wash cannot get rid of. I took a longer and harder look at things and feel up to the challenge of cleaning her up inside and out as in removing all the old gunky caulking and replacing it with fresh stuff and this includes a thorough cleaning of the roof and repainting and resealing all of the joints up there too!
Yes, space is limited in this 21 foot RV and I will have to seriously consider reducing the items I wish to bring or will have to explore and research the storage possibilities that exist out there. Most likely if I get an additional storage pod I will get one that fits into the hitch, likely the largest one available so I can be sure I can store all of my stuff inside and outside of the RV.
I am ready at least mentally and spiritually to take the leap into an RV but a few more things have to be ironed out before I can even think of jumping off the cliff at this time. Relationship, finances, and what not need to be sorted out completely before I make that leap to insecurity and risks of living on the road with no real source of a stable income.
I am ready though. I know I can and will do it and succeed regardless of any missteps or detours that may come along in my journey to living my dream!
