As you may recall she is a 1988 GMC Vandura 3500 Class C Corsair RV. She is 21 feet in length. There is a rooftop air conditioner but no dash A/C. The is no real bed but sleeping quarters may be found in the bed-over-cab area or in the rear of the RV by the bathroom. In the bathroom we have the toilet and then a combined sink/shower area. There is a wardrobe closet next to the refrigerator that sits next to the dinette. Across from the dinette is the kitchen with a four burner range and oven combination. The are numerous cabinets and drawers that should accommodate most of the stuff I plan to take with me but I will convert the bed-over-cab into storage space as well so I have plenty of places to store things. I will sleep in the back corner and this suits me just fine.
Outside, there is one small bay that will accommodate I hope a toolbox and small generator as well as the telescoping ladder I purchased this past summer. If there is more room I will store perhaps extra items such as oil, washer fluid, brake and power-steering fluid and air and fuel filters. This should prove to be a safe place as it does lock.
I also have a boxed-in awning that stores well and for the most part out of the weather. From what I understand it is a higher end awning so I will do my best to use and take care of it.
Other than that there is not much more to describe about the little old RV, Ms Lucille/Esmeralda. She looks to be in good shape other than what appears to be a small leak in the bed-over-cab area on the driver's side of the RV and this should be a quick and minor repair. As part of the 2010 "get-on-the-road" I will buy two new batteries as well as replace a few other things under the hood.
We have another delightfully clear cold day here in Vancouver, BC. The weather has been amazing the last few days and should return to clouds and rain although I believe there is a possibility of snow over the weekend. But the weekend is so far away that the forecast is sure to change over the next few days so I will not fret about that one bit.
Edith and Eugene send you their regards from their hiding place in the cardboard box.
Bye for now.
