Camcorders Revisited

Quite awhile ago I was musing over the purchase of a camcorder and I am still musing over such a purchase today. As we set about our RVing adventure I think it will be quite handy to have both a camcorder and a digital SLR to photographically record our experiences on the road. Although the camcorder I wrote about was a decent camera and good deal to boot we missed out on that opportunity as even back then the camcorder was near the end of its sales cycle and only the demos remained at several different Wal-mart locations.

So I/we are once again mulling over the purchase of a camcorder as well as a digital SLR but purchasing either may not happen very soon as we are still perplexed as to exactly what we want with either camera.

As we are moving ever so slowly at getting the RV ready for our adventure we are just biding our time by doing a whole heck of a lot of nothing unless you call dreaming and wondering and planning doing something.

David and I are working at bringing something else into the RV as we set out on our adventure but we are keeping it underwrap until we are further ahead in doing what we also want to be doing during our adventure but stay tuned as it will be revealed all in good time and should prove to cause a bit of a stir. . .

Camcorders

Hey there folks,

As we try keep busy so as to not think about RVing so we don't get depressed because we haven't left yet I have been looking at camcorders so we can capture our adventure on video. I found this one and it is available at
Walmart. This is the what they wrote on their website about it:

Samsung SMX-F30 Camcorder Item Number: 630302, $179 Introducing the next Generation of YouTube™ Compatible Digital Camcorders The impressive F30 offers world class Schneider optics, 42x Intelli-Zoom Lens, Advanced Image Stabilizer and 680K pixel CCD with SDHC memory slot. Click on the Web & Mobile shooting mode and you have the exact format and resolution required by YouTube™, giving you faster uploading to the Web for sharing with friends and family. 42X Intelli-zoom with Schneider Lens 680K Pixel CCD 2.7” Wide LCD Display Hyper DIS H.264 Long Time Recording YouTube™ Direct Upload 3D Noise Reduction Photo Function (800 x 600 SVGA) Long Battery Life (3 hour recording) Swivel Grip Time Lapse Recording SD/SDHC/

The price is certainly right and they claim it is YouTube ready so it should prove easy to upload images in a jiffy.

Well enough of that, time for a nap. . .
