G'day Folks

Hey there everyone.  It's been a bit since any of last posted but here we are again bringing you a post about all that has been going on for the last little while.

Since David's job is coming to and end he has been working by himself we taken advantage of his "free" time and spent it planning and doing a bit of stuff to the RV.  We even have pictures to show you.

On Tuesday we sanded down and then added more filler to the walls in the bedroom area filling in various voids and holes left in the walls when we remove the curtains and valances.  Today, we added some trim along with sealant to the bed-over-cab area where we removed a window and filled in the void with studs and plywood.

Here are a couple of photos:

Next week we'll try to sand the walls down, vacuum, and maybe apply some paint and wallpaper to this area.  And if we get so lucky with our time we'll get the mattress support in and maybe even start on the bedside cabinet.
The weather forecast is calling for showers on Sunday so we'll know by next week how the sealant held up as 48 hours might not be enough dry and cure time for the sealant to be totally water resistant.  We have to wait a couple of weeks before painting this area.

We'll likely start confabulating on how to apply trim to the corners where the walls meet so we are comfortable with using the trim we've had our eyes on for awhile now so we move on with removing all of the trim around the bed-over-cab area and start resealing all of the openings where the walls meet and then finish this area off in one fell swoop with sealant and trim.  Then we can rest comfortable knowing there will be no more leaks in this area.

The back wall and window also need to worked on as it doesn't make any sens to finish the interior in this area if there is a chance it is still leaking.  September is supposed to be a fairly dry month so we may get lucky and wet weather will be limited thus allowing us to move full steam ahead on removing windows and trim in various areas to start sealing up the RV inside and out and eliminate water leaks once and for all.

I guess we have our work cut out for us but we are enjoying ourselves especially now that we are getting so close to fixing up our RV and that much closer to moving into our home on wheels.

Thanks for stopping by,

Eugene
