Dawson City, Yukon

Rae of Travels with Miranda fame is once again in Dawson City, Yukon and during her first couple of postings she included photos of Dawson that are pulling at me to go and visit this northern city.  I was there almost 30 years ago with my youngest uncle on my mom's side and my oldest brother.  I loved the area as much of the ground was very soft and plush feeling underfoot and the scenery as I remember it is awesome.  I think I do indeed need to visit this area again.  I think and rather know that my visit this time will be a very moving and uplifting experience.

As much as I want to visit the US of A I want to spend at least my first year in the RV here in Canada.  Diana from Life on the Open Road visited Ontario back in 2008 and she visited areas that I must see for myself.  So when the timing is right I will move into the RV spend time in and around Metro Vancouver before moving north and east for a tour of this beautiful country I call home.  Canada does have its own share of breathtaking scenery so I think it best if visit as much of this that I can before crossing the border in to the US for what is to be sure a long and never ending visit of that country that will include jaunts down into Mexico as well.

Today I will pay another visit to my trusty RV so I can fire it up and let it run for a few minutes as I take another look inside and out to get a better feel for the work involved in repairing any possible leaks.  I need to get this done this year to minimize the damage as it has been leaking for some time now and we have been having a lot of rainy weather so the damage is just getting worse and the damaged area growing I am sure.

I as I may have mentioned before am planning to start these repairs next month around June 9 -13th.  If I am indeed working by myself and it is quiet enough I should get most if not all of the necessary work down in the few days I have planned to set aside for this work.  I can always work on it in the week that follows as I am alone or should be until June 21st.

I'm anxious but patient at the same time.  I need to move into my home soon so I can live the life of my dreams. . .
