Hi, ya'll!

Hi, ya'll!

Darn keyboard. How the darn heck can someone type of this little keyboard? What the heck? Can't type to good here. It'l take me all day to type this, hit one key, the wrong key, backspace, delete. .

Edith, how the heck can you type on this darned keyboard? Now I'm typing what I'm saying! Oh, how the heck does thing work anyway?

Take er easy!

This is better, computers, keyboards not my thing just need to relax though and it's not terribly difficult to plunk away.

We have quite
the good amount of work ahead of us on this old RV of ours. Been awhile since the roof was patched so David and I will have our work cut out for us as you will see in the photos if I can ever get them on this darned computer. Edith says I need to upload them. She'll do it for me. I'm too old for this stuff.

When we tackle repairing the roof on the RV we will a
lso be tackling all of the trim on the RV as we need to take it off near the roof line so we might as well take all the trim off and do it all at once, I'm thinking anyway! It'll be a lot of work I'm sure and we'll need to cover the RV with a tarp as the work will take more than a day 'r two to complete. We can re-use the trim but new inserts will have to picked up as the old ones do show their age an all so no use trying save and put em back in in my mind.

Stripping the roof and removing everything will be a good days work so that will be Day 1 of this job. Cleaning the trim and vent covers and what not will probably be another good days work so Day 2 is taken care of as well. Day 3 and 4 will most likely be applying the tape and sealant, two coats of sealant required over the tape. If it works well we will tape about one inch down each side wall that leaves about 3 inches of the tape covering the roof. The tape will also be applied around all of the roof openings such as vents air conditioner, etc. This tape take about 24 hours to cure or some such thing and also needs two coats of sealant over top of it to complete the job.

The vent covers will go back on with an application of lap sealant to provide a nice water tight seal, this followed by the trim along the roof line also applied with a line of lap sealant to make another nice water tight seal. Then we complete the rest of the trim the same way following up with the new inserts that will be cut extra long to allow for shrinkage after which end pieces will be applied where it makes sense to complete the new look of the RV.

This'll be just the start of our work to get our rig back up to snuff.
More about that later. . .

I need a nap. . .zzzzzzzzz. . .
