So as you may recall our RV is a small used Class C. The sad part about our RV is that I purchased her back in 2006 and she has been patiently waiting in a storage lot for me to take her out on the highway and make her feel wanted, useful, and loved. Finances and a relationship have made this long wait necessary. I do realize that four years of waiting is an awfully long time especially for an RV that is going on 22 years old. She is a great little RV and I feel so very comfortable when I sit in the little RV that it really does feel like home to me.
She has a minor leak in the bed-over-cab area as I mentioned in a previous post and both her starting and house batteries are dead and need to be replaced. Other than that and I guess some maintenance and a good going over she is quite the fine RV I would have to say.
This past summer I believe on June 30th I had her washed and detailed and boy did that ever make a difference in her appearance. Three years of neglect (I admit it) made her mighty dirty and green. Thank goodness I made the decision to have her washed and I consider it a great investment even if it was in the hundreds of dollars to get it done.
I am confident, cautiously optimistic perhaps that 2010 will be a good year in terms of my finances and that I will be able to put time aside to invest in getting Ms Lucille/Esmeralda ready for the life on the road. If everything works out I will be traveling by the fall of 2010 leaving Vancouver behind and heading toward the highway of freedom and living. And on that note I shall say so long for now. . .
